Yale Psychology grad students Benjamin van Buren, Thomas Patrick O’Connell, Monica Dawn Rosenberg, and Matthew Ronald Jordan have each been awarded 2014 National Science Foundation (NSF) Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP) Fellowships. The GRFP Fellowship is the oldest graduate fellowship of its kind, with pastfellows including several Nobel Prize winners, including U.S. Secretary of Energy, Steven Chu, Google founder, Sergey Brin andFreakonomics co-author, Steven Levitt. It provides for up to three years of funding, and is awarded based on each student’s“outstanding abilities and accomplishments, [and] potential to contribute to strengthening the vitality of the US science and engineering enterprise.” Congratulations Benjamin, Thomas, Monica, and Matthew!
