Samuel Paskewitz
Lecturer
PhD, 2021, University of Colorado Boulder
My background is in cognitive psychology, particularly computational models of learning and decision-making. Alongside that psychological training, I have also studied mathematical statistics. Some current research interests include:
- applying Bayesian latent variable models to neurocognitive and psychopathology data
- developing better computational models of Pavlovian conditioning and extinction
- using computational models to better understand the relationship between selective attention to threat cues and anxiety related psychopathology
My current role in the department is to:
- teach graduate level statistics, and
- give statistics advice to anyone who wants it
If you’re in the department and want to chat about your data, just send me an email describing the study/analysis and we’ll set up a meeting.
